Moribito Hits Adult Swim on August 24

Starting this fall, Adult Swim will be adding another anime series to their lineup on Cartoon Network: Moribito – Guardian of the Spirit, which ran as Seirei no Moribito in Japan for 26 episodes in 2007.

Moribito, for the uninitiated, is the tale of Balsa, a warrior that saves a prince along her journey of atonement, and ends up becoming his bodyguard, protecting him from the murderous mitts of his father, the emperor.

Fans of the series and newcomers alike can experience the series as it airs starting on the 24th of August. In the meantime, you can occupy yourselves with Nahoko Uehashi’s original novel, which Scholastic published here in early June.
