Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan-chuhai no Aji ga Shite, which translates to something like “that married woman’s lips taste like canned chuhai,” is getting the anime treatment. (Chuhai is, of course, the alcoholic beverage from Japan made by combining shochu, carbonated water and some kind of flavoring.)
This is the second anime Deregula, the folks behind Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!, and it’s based on the manga by writer Chinjao Musume and artist Tama Nogami.
In a comment released to the media, Nogami said, in part, “umm… is it really possible to make an anime series from this?”
The manga, which launched in 2021, centers around a college student’s encounters with various married women. There are currently three collected volumes out in Japan. The anime will begin airing in 2025.
