Magi Anime Gets a Second Season This Fall

Fans of the anime adaptation of Shinobu Ohtaka’s Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic manga got a couple bits of good news recently, primarily with the announcement of a second season.

Following the last episode, season two was officially confirmed for fall 2013 via a teaser on the official website, which added a message saying “The story moves to Magnostadt.”

No other details were divulged, but you can see the announcements as they appeared in the teaser below.

That’s not all for Magi, though, as the series is also getting a “Sinbad’s Adventure” spin-off manga, which will kick off serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday starting with the May 8 issue. A prototype of the manga came packed as bonus material in the first volume of the Japanese Magi home video release, and it features an original story by Ohtaka, with illustrations by Yoshifumi Otera.
