While we wait for more on the My Dress-Up Darling anime sequel, the live-action adaptation of Shinichi Fukuda’s hit manga is on the horizon. The series is set to premiere as part of MBS’s Dramaism programming block on October 8, with airings on TBS to follow. Ahead of that, two new trailers made their way online to preview the series and its theme songs.

First up is the opening song version of the trailer, which includes Cho Tokimeki Sendenbu’s “Princess Hero” song.

The ending song version features PEDRO’s “Lovely Baby” song.

Koji Shintoku (live-action Peach Girl) directs, with Satoko Okazaki (Tiger & Bunny episodes) handling scripts for the Kyodo Television production. Iko Nagase and Kota Nomura star in the respective roles of Marin Kitagawa and Wanaka Gojo.

The My Dress-Up Darling anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Here’s the official synopsis:

My Dress-Up Darling Plot

Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
