Kamitsubaki City Under Construction Unveils Anime, Rhythm Game

Kamitsubaki City Under Construction Unveils Anime, Rhythm GameKamitsubaki City Under Construction, a mixed media project that’s been running since 2019, is getting both a TV anime series and a rhythm game. The projects were announced this weekend.

The anime series is set for 2025, while the rhythm game is scheduled for this spring.

Here’s how Steam describes the game:

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble is a rhythm game in which AI girls who were awoken after the apocalypse use special song magic to create melodies with you, in an effort to restart the world. How did the destruction happen? Why do these girls exist? All answers will be revealed…when the music stops.

So far, the Kamitsubaki City Under Construction project has been made up of an alternate reality game and a table-talk role-playing game. The whole thing is spearheaded by Kamitsubaki Studio, best known for virtual singers like KAF.

No doubt the rhythm game and anime will bring the Kamitsubaki City Under Construction to a larger audience outside Japan.
