Following a pair of films released in 2020 and 2021, respectively, the study manga known as Kagaku Manga Survival (Science Manga Survival) is now making its way to the small screen in a TV anime adaptation. Asahi Shimbun revealed plans today, with more details to come.
Originating in South Korea and featuring the illustrative work of Hyun-Dong Han, the series weaves science information into stories about children going on adventures. Asahi Shimbun has published 85 volumes of Kagaku Manga Survival since it launched in 2008, and No Starch Press has even released some of it in English as Survive! Inside the Human Body.
The previous anime films include Survive! Inside the Human Body and Survive! In the Deep Sea.
