JManga Launches with Wide, Unpublished Manga Selection

Some aspects of the new JManga service may have bumps to be ironed out, but the site went live today with a plethora of manga to peruse, including 100 titles never before published in North America.

Speaking of which, you’ll need to be in North America to enjoy the service, which implements a subscription fee for access to longer previews, and bonus points to put toward purchasing manga volumes and/or chapters. Currently a $10 monthly subscription gives out 500 free bonus points, with 50 bonus points a month applied for continuing the subscription.

Pricing for individual volumes runs somewhere between that of Viz Media and Square Enix’s digital services, and manga is split into Shonen, Shojo, Seinen, Josei and Kodomo sections.

The unreleased stuff is definitely a big draw, but dive in to the official JManga site yourself and see if anything tickles your fancy.
