Tomoko Yamashita’s josei manga Ikoku Nikki (Diary of a Strange Land) is officially getting an anime adaptation. There’s no release date at this time, but a teaser trailer and visual have surfaced along with the main staff behind the upcoming series.
The Ikoku Nikki anime is being directed by Miyuki Ooshiro, with Kohei Kiyasu on series composition, Kenji Hayama on character designs and Kensuke Ushio on music for the Shuka production.
The Ikoku Nikki manga ran in the pages of Shodensha’s Feel Young magazine from June 2017 to June 2023, ultimately collected in 11 volumes. There’s also a live-action film on the way in Japan this June.
