I Have a Crush at Work, the anime adaptation of the manga by Akamaru Enomoto, is set to hit screens this January. We’ve already had a look at the show via its trailer, but now we’ve got the next piece of the puzzle: the official key art.
Naoko Takeichi (Cooking with Valkyries) is directing the anime, with Masahiro Yokotani on series composition and Mina Osawa handling character designs for the BLADE production. Main cast includes:
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Masugu Tateishi
- Yume Miyamoto as Yui Mitsuya
- Shizuka Ito as Shizuno Hayakawa
- Reio Tsuchida as Keisuke Somei
- Yo Taichi as Maria Morizono
The series first launched in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in March 2019 and ran until January 2023, ultimately being collected in 15 volumes. As of this writing, over 1.1 million copies are in circulation in print and digitally.
Kodansha publishes the I Have a Crush at Work manga in English and describes the story:
Yui Mitsuya and Masugu Tateishi aren’t just any coworkers—they totally have the hots for each other. His helpful yet humble attitude makes her giddy, and her cuteness leaves him grinning like a fool. Problem is, they’re trying to keep their new relationship under wraps to avoid making things awkward at work. But seeing how they can’t keep their hands off each other, they run the risk of spilling their little secret with each passing day at the office.
