Anime Expo attendees who are also fans of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn have something special to look forward to at this year’s convention. AX officially announced the addition of director Kazuhiro Furuhashi as a Guest of Honor for AX2013.

In addition to kicking off directing Mobile Suit Gundam UC in 2010, Furuhashi helmed anime ranging from the Ranma ½ Netto Utagassen OVA to Nippon Animation’s Hunter x Hunter series, Le Chevalier D’Eon, Getbackers, Rurouni Kenshin, and more.

Fans will get a chance to see Furuhashi in person when AX kicks into action July 4-7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
