Writer Shirohi and illustrator Mika Kamisu’s Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishi-dan de Kawaigarareru (Having been blessed by the gorilla god, the young lady is loved by the Royal Knights) manga series pretty much lays out its story right there in the title. Now the series is officially getting an anime adaptation sometime in 2025.
Details are light, but artist Mika Kamisu shared a celebratory illustration to go along with the news:
In the world of Gorilla no Kami, 16-year-olds receive blessings from a variety of animal gods. In the case of Sophia, who is the timid daughter of a noble, her blessing came from the Gorilla God. As such, she can now lift incredibly heavy objects. All she wants is to live her life in peace, but now her immense power has her in the scouting sights of the royal knights.
The series is currently 30 chapters strong across five compiled volumes, and is published via Kadokawa‘s ComicWalker as part of the FLOS Comic fantasy label.
Stay tuned for more on the Gorilla no Kami anime as it’s announced!
