Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni (Gold Kingdom, Water Kingdom) is an upcoming anime film based on Nao Iwamoto’s fantasy romance manga of the same name, and the latest update arrived this week to throw seven more cast members into the mix.
New cast additions, pictured below in order starting from the top left, include:
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Saladine.
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Lailala.
- Subaru Kimura as Jauhara.
- Keiko Toda as Leopoldine.
- Chafûrin as Piripappa.
- Masaki Terasoma as Oduni.
- And Banjō Ginga as Rastavan III.

The Gold Kingdom, Water Kingdom manga follows a gentle-hearted princess named Sara and an impressionable young architect named Naranbayar. The two must pretend to be husband and wife for the sake of their respective countries, but they end up actually falling in love and creating an unforeseen miracle through their romance.
The series originally ran in Shogakukan’s Flowers manga magazine, and the anime adaptation has Kotono Watanabe directing at anime production studio MADHOUSE. Look for this one to open in Japan on January 27, 2023.
