SHIFT UP’s Goddess of Victory: Nikke game recently shared the full version of an animated short for the “Old Tales” event, which features animation from Sword Art Online and Solo Leveling studio A-1 Pictures.
Clocking in at over three minutes long, the short features some spoilers for the game. If you don’t mind that, you can check out the expanded version of the previously-revealed 15-second teaser version below.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke Anime Short
Yusuke Shibata (Smile Down the Runway chief animation director) storyboarded and handled technical direction for the short, with Rina Morita (HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima PLUS) on character design and chief animation direction. The background music is “Unbreakable,” featuring composition by Cosmograph and a performance by Yurisa.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke first launched on iOS and Android devices around the world in November 2022, so this “Old Tales” story event also marks the game’s second anniversary. In addition to the mobile version, there was a PC release in February 2023 that supports cross-play.
