Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Manga Takes Time Off for Author’s Health

go! go! loser ranger!

The second season of the Go! Go! Loser Ranger! anime adaptation is set to debut this April, but in the meantime the manga is taking some time off. According to the official social accounts for all of Negi Haruba’s manga series, including The Quintessential Quintuplets, it was revealed that the lack of a chapter in the recent issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine was due to the author’s health.

As the announcement explains, Haruba recently got sick. As a result, in addition to missing this year’s 12th issue, the manga will be absent in the issue that follows. Readers can expect it to return when the 14th issue hits stands on March 5.

After kicking off in 2021, The Go! Go! Loser Ranger manga is published in America by Kodansha USA Publishing. Kodansha gave this description for the plot:

When the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them! With the war raging on, these great heroes are mankind’s last hope! …or are they? In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out a monster a week for the Rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough. Something has to change! He’ll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all…from the inside!
