Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf Anime Revealed for May Debut on Netflix

Baku Yumemakura’s Garouden martial arts novels are officially getting an anime adaptation. Netflix announced plans to premiere Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf around the world on May 23, and you can see the first English-subtitled trailer below.

The Garouden anime is being directed by Atsushi Ikariya (SABIKUI BISCO), with Daisuke Mataga as assistant director, Sadayuki Murai on scripts and Momoko Kawai joining director Ikariya on character design duties.

Cast members include Ryota Takeuchi as Juzo Fujimaki, Tetsu Inada as Bunshichi Tanba, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Tsutomu Himekawa, Rintaro Nishi as Shozan Matsuo, Tessho Genda as Soichiro Izumi and more.

Both the opening and ending songs will be by AA=, whose “FIGHT & PRIDE” and “CRY BOY” will serve as the respective themes.
