April 15, 2010 If you missed out on a fairly meager US theatrical outing (festivals only) for Yoshihiro Nishimura (Tokyo Gore Police) and Naoyuki Tomomatsu’s Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl, you’ll be able to make up for that soon enough thanks to Funimation.
The US distributor has picked up the rights to the wild flick, and they’re bringing it to both DVD and Blu-ray in October 2010, just in time for the season of scares. Of course, with a title like that you can expect more laughs than frights, but there’s plenty of over-the-top comical gore to satisfy the splatter fans.
The next theatrical showing is going on at the Mayfair Theater Ottawa (Ontario, Canada)… right now! Well, there are a couple left at least: tonight and tomorrow. Then it’s off to The Nashville Independent Film Festival on April 20.
