Following up on the initial announcement, a premiere date has been announced for the From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! anime. Based on the manga by Michiro Ueyama, which is also known as Akuyaku Reijo Tensei Oji-san, the series will premiere in Japan on January 9, 2025.
Along with the date comes a new trailer, as well as a trio of cast additions and a new key visual. Check it all out below.

The story follows 52-year-old Kenzaboro Tondabayashi, who ends up being reincarnated in an otome game-style world as a villainess daughter named Grace. Tetsuya Takeuchi directs, with Shingo Irie on series composition, Haruka Matsunae on character designs, Yuki Miyamoto on monster designs and Ryo Hirata on prop designs. Natsumi Tabuchi, Misaki Tsuchida, Tsugumi Tanaka, Reiko Abe and Kaho Sawada are composing the music for the Ajia-do Animation Works production.
The From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! manga has been running in Shonen Gahosha’s Young King Ours GH seinen manga magazine since March 2020, and the anime will stream on HIDIVE as it airs.
