First Berserk Film Nets a Silver Award in Oregon

The first film in the Studio 4ºC-animated Berserk trilogy, Berserk Golden Age Arc I: The Egg of the King, was honored at the Oregon Film Awards, taking with it a Silver Award in the Animated Film Competition category.

Only films that “demonstrate a superior level of craftsmanship and quality” were treated to awards at levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Viz Media will be releasing the Toshiyuki Kubooka directed Egg of the King on Blu-ray and DVD on November 27. The second film, Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey, opened in Japan in June, and the third, Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent, makes its Japanese theatrical debut in February of next year.
