Fermat no Ryori Manga Lands Anime Series

Fermat no Ryori Manga Lands Anime SeriesFermat no Ryori (Fermat’s Cuisine, or Cuisson dans le Fermat if you’re feeling fancy) is cooking up an anime series. That’s the word from the cover of an upcoming issue of Monthly Shonen Magazine, where Fermat no Ryori runs.

The Yugo Kobayashi manga, which kicked off in 2018, is about a mathematical genius who uses math to learn about cooking and devise recipes. It was adapted into a live-action series in 2023. There are currently four volumes available in Japan.

Here’s a (machine-translated) description of the first volume:

Yugo Kobayashi (Aoashi)’s latest work! “We challenge God with our cooking.” A high school student, Takeshi Kitada, aspired to be a mathematician, but failed in his quest. When [he and his mentor] meet and “mathematics” and “cooking” intersect, the door to an unknown world opens!
