Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (The Perverted Prince and the Cat Who Won’t Smile) is a light novel series from Sou Sagara and Kantoku, and it’s set to get the TV anime treatment next spring. The series features animation production from J.C. Staff (Bakuman., Slayers), direction by storyboard artist Youhei Suzuki, character design by Inu x Boku SS‘ Haruko Iizuka, and story composition by Michiko Itou; you can get a look at the show in action in the recently released promo below.
The series follows Yokodera, who is somewhat of an expert at being perverted. He mops so he can see panty reflections, weeds so he cansee up skirts, and so on, but he’s also whiny about the way his actions are interpreted. This could change after a friend tells him about a cat statue that might just take care of this undesirable trait.
