It’s been five years since the Classroom of the Elite anime debuted to adapt Shogo Kinugasa’s light novel series of the same name, and now it’s finally time for more. While details are light at the moment, Classroom of the Elite season 2 is officially in the works, and more information will be revealed via KADOKAWA’s Anime Project Presentation stream on March 6.
The stream will be held on KADOKAWA’s official YouTube channel, and will kick off at 3:00am Pacific Time. Lead voice cast members Shoya Chiba (Kiyotaka Ayanokoji) and Yurika Kubo (Kikyou Kushida) will be in attendance for the occasion.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season of the Classroom of the Elite anime and describes it like so:
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children. What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…
