A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai Anime Lands in OctoberBack in March, we learned A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai, a series of light novels by Masuo Kinoko, would be getting anime-ified. Now we’ve learned that series, produced by Genco and directed by Yoshinori Odaka (Mr. Villain’s Day Off), is hitting screens starting this October.

We’ve also learned that the soundtrack will be handled by Hiroshi Takaki (Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun).

Other staff members include:

Series Composition: Gigaemon Ichikawa (The Fruit of Evolution)
Character Design: Mayumi Watanabe (Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms)
Studios: Tatsunoko Production, SynergySP

The A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai light novel series, which kicked off in 2017, now has 16 volumes and over 1.7 million copies in circulation. There’s also a manga adaptation with eight volumes as of last year. Seven of those volumes have been released in English so far.

Here’s how Alphapolis describes the first volume:

Takeru Kamishiro is an average guy who’s declared dead by a fishy-looking god and reincarnated in the sword-and-sorcery world of Madeus. To give him a head start in this realm, he’s given enhanced physical strength, tons of magic force, and “Search,” which helps him discover valuable items and materials. Huge adventure awaits for Takeru, and he’s even got a cute partner to share the good times with! It’s the first volume of this popular, heartwarming fantasy!
