A Few Moments of Cheers Revealed as Original Anime Film

Writer Jukki Hanada—known for anime like Sound! Euphonium and Love Live! Superstar!!—has an original anime film in the works. This week marked the opening of an official website and Twitter account for A Few Moments of Cheers, a new film that Hanada is writing and is currently set for a summer 2024 opening in Japan.

A teaser trailer and visual were revealed along with more details, so dive into everything we know so far below.

The story of A Few Moments of Cheers follows a high school boy named Kanata Asaya who watches a street performance by Yu Orie, who is a teacher that had thrown away dreams of a career in music. This inspires Kanata to make a music video.

In addition to writing by Hanada, A Few Moments of Cheers has Popurika (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie ending movie) directing, with Ohajiki serving as assistant director at anime production houses Hurray! and 100studio. Magotsuki is on art direction and VIVI is handling song compositions.
