A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace, the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga by Kuzushiro, has just revealed its first official promo video.
Alongside the video comes some new cast announcements and news on the ending theme song.
New additions to the cast include:

Eriko Matsui as shogi player Tōko Kakunodate

Miharu Hanai as assistant Nekonote

Previously announced cast members include Yuko Natsuyoshi as Nana Futami, Sora Amamiya as Kaede Sato, and Miku Ito as Mizuki Hazama.
The ending theme song will be called “Thankful,” and will be performed by Sizuk (“Fluffy Paradise”). The opening, which you can hear in the promo video, is “Zettai Shosan!” by HoneyWorks ft. HaKoniwalily.
Kaoru Suzuki (My Roommate is a Cat) directs the series with Mio Inoue on scripts and Kana Miyai on character designs for the Voil production.
Here’s how the official website describes A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace:
Futami is a novice shojo manga artist. With the help of her cool editor and reliable assistant, she’s been able to start publishing her dream shogi manga, “Subaru e.”
The stress makes her stomach hurt, however, so she has to push the deadline for the first chapter and is stuck at her desk without making progress on the storyboards. She also gains weight from late-night snacks, and can’t stop having wild delusions…
Will she be able to smile and enjoy the difficult life of a manga artist?!
