Clevatess Anime Announces July 2 Premiere, Hour-Long EpisodeClevatess, the upcoming anime adaptation of Yuji Iwahara’s fantasy manga, is officially set to hit screens July 2.

Alongside that news, we also got the word today that the first episode of the series will run for an hour.

Furthermore! We’ve got a new promo video.

Further-furthermore! We’ve got a video from Ellie Goulding speaking about her song “Destiny,” which she has written for the series as its ending theme.

And gosh, if that weren’t enough, we’ve got some new cast announcements. Namely:

Aoi Yuki as Neruru
Shigeru Chiba as Broco
Hiroki Yasumoto as Dorel
Chiharu Shigematsu as Maynard
Tomoyo Kurosawa as Naie
Tomokazu Seki as Rodd
Miō Tanaka as Margo

Whew.

Kiyotaka Taguchi (Ultraman Blazar) directs the anime, with Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern!) on scripts, Soichiro Sako (Buddy Daddies) on character designs and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) composing music for the Lay-duce production.

Previously announced cast members include Haruka Shiraishi as Alicia, Mutsumi Tamura as Clen and Yuichi Nakamura as Clevatess.

The Clevatess manga is about a Demon King named Clevatess who is being hunted by 13 heroes, including the longtime aspiring hero Alicia. After an attempt at slaying him that just ends up leading to more trouble, they soon find that the only way to save humanity may be to entrust a single baby to Clevatess.
