Kunon the Sorcerer Can See Anime Reveals Visual, Cast

kunon the sorcerer

Initially announced in January, the Kunon the Sorcerer Can See anime is back with more details. The adaptation of Umikaze Minamino and Laruha’s light novel series shared a new visual along with the main cast ahead of an AnimeJapan 2025 stage event that’s scheduled for March 23.

The main cast includes Saori Hayami (Ryu Lyon in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as Kunon and Maaya Uchida (Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions!) as Iko. They will both be in attendance at this month’s AnimeJapan event. Check out the visual below.

Kunon the Sorcerer Can See began its run online in 2021 before being picked up by Kadokawa Books in 2022. In English, it’s released by Yen Press. Here’s their official description:

Kunon Gurion was born without sight and unsure of his purpose in life, but everything changes when he resolves to find a way to use magic to see. This is a feat no sorcerer has ever accomplished or even tried, and it won’t be easy. Kunon’s single-minded ambition leads him to quickly surpass his teacher, and with only a few basic spells, he can already sense color, produce useful items, and create a lifelike cat from water! Word of his skills and ingenuity soon reaches the castle, which earns him a rare chance to study under a powerful new mentor. But is Kunon’s goal even attainable?
