If your anime diet has been missing a healthy helping of office romance, you might want to keep an eye out for I Have a Crush at Work. Also known as Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu, or Can You Keep a Secret?, the manga by Akamaru Enomoto officially has an anime adaptation in the works.

The announcement was revealed this week through a newly-launched official website and social accounts. The story follows Yui Mitsuya and Masugu Tateishi, who work together and, as you might have guessed, hold the titular crushes. Both are pictured in the teaser visual for the anime adaptation below.

The series first launched in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in March 2019 and ran until January 2023, ultimately being collected in 15 volumes. As of this writing, over 1.1 million copies are in circulation in print and digitally.

Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the story:

I Have a Crush at Work Plot

Yui Mitsuya and Masugu Tateishi aren’t just any coworkers—they totally have the hots for each other. His helpful yet humble attitude makes her giddy, and her cuteness leaves him grinning like a fool. Problem is, they’re trying to keep their new relationship under wraps to avoid making things awkward at work. But seeing how they can’t keep their hands off each other, they run the risk of spilling their little secret with each passing day at the office.

This romance certainly seems as if it will be replete with strong emotions, unlike some other recent series.
