If My Wife Becomes an Elementary School Student is an upcoming anime based on the manga by Yayu Murata, which follows Keisuke Niijima and his daughter, Mai, after they lost his wife and her mother, Takae, 10 years ago. Things take a turn for the unexpected when an elementary school girl visits their home and claims to be the reincarnation of Takae. While it’s hard to believe at first, she knows too much to be faking it, so they start coming together as a family.
The anime take on the material is being produced at Studio Signpost, with Noriyuki Abe (Yu Yu Hakusho) directing and Sawako Hirabayashi (Delicious Party Precure) writing. The latest update came through with the anime’s first teaser trailer, the lead cast members and plans for an October 2024 premiere.
