The January 5 premiere of the Sasaki and Peeps anime is right around the corner, and Kadokawa recently came through with another preview in the form of the third full trailer. See some new cast member reveals—including Hikaru Midorikawa as Josef, Gakuto Kajiwara as Kai and Daisuke Kishio as Maximillian—and more footage ahead of the debut below.
When Sasaki and Peeps arrives it will be in the form of an hour-long premiere.
The Sasaki and Peeps anime is being directed by Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge), with Deko Akao (Komi Can’t Communicate) writing and overseeing scripts for the SILVER LINK production. Crunchyroll previously announced plans to stream the anime as it airs.
Yen Press publishes the novels—written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku—in English and sums up the story like so:
Even though Sasaki’s droll corporate life is constantly filled with work, it leaves him tired and unfulfilled at the end of every day. In search of some companionship to fill the emptiness in his life, he visits a pet shop on a whim, not realizing he’s about to change his life forever. After settling on an adorable bird and bringing it home…his new roommate reveals that it’s actually an incredible sage from another world who promptly bestows Sasaki with supernatural powers as well as the ability to cross between worlds. All Sasaki wants to do is use these newfound powers to live in peace and comfort, but there are more than a few colorful characters who might get in the way of that…
