Freezing Anime Gets a Second Season

The latest volume of the Freezing manga by Dall-Young Lim and Kwang-Hyun Kim to be released in Japan comes with a special announcement on the wraparound. According to the cover of volume 18, the anime version of Freezing will be getting a second season.

No further information was revealed about the new season, but updates should eventually appear on the official website.

Freezing follows the story of Kazuya, a boy who enrolls in a military academy that trains its recruits for combat against dimensional beings. At the academy, a group of girls known as Pandora are gearing up for the fight. The first 12-episode run of the sci-fi anime arrived as part of the winter 2011 season. FUNimation streamed it as it aired before eventually releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray last year.
