Anime Expo recently announced the first of their guests of honor, the roster-changing female pop sensation, Morning Musume. Since the group’s inception in 1997, they’ve released the most #1 singles of any female Japanese group. They’ve increased in number, decreased in number, and split like amoebas into smaller pockets of bubblegum poppiness. And now, in their current incarnation, they’ll be performing at the July 2-5 convention, which will be taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Keep in mind, before you jump out of your chair and dance with your 2nd generation Morning Musume body pillow, that this performance will feature the current roster of nine members. That includes Ai Takahashi, Risa Niigaki, Eri Kamei, Sayumi Michishige, Reina Tanaka, Koharu Kusumi, Aika Mitsui, JunJun, and LinLin. Now, you may resume dancing.
