New Atlus Strategy RPG hits Shelves

A unique new SRPG from Atlus was just released yesterday; Spectral Force 3. Having slipped under a lot of gamers’ radars, this is the first game in the series to be released in the US, it’s for Xbox 360, a system that doesn’t get a lot of SRPG’s, and is rendered entirely in 3D instead of using the 2D sprite approach common in games like Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Despite already being released, none of the big gaming review sites have reviewed it yet, so the title is a bit of a mystery. Spectral Force 3 lacks the hype of past Atlus hits like Persona 3 and Odin Sphere, plus SRPG’s generally tend to be fairly hit-or-miss, but it could be worth checking out.
