More consumers are getting their hands on 4K and HDR-capable screens and are on the hunt for content to match. Now Netflix and Production I.G are teaming up to create the first hand-drawn anime originally animated in 4K HDR.
It’s called Sol Levante, and it’s set to hit the ‘flix this March 23.
It’s directed by I.G’s Akira Saitoh, who did the effects on Blood+, and is supervised by Netflix technology engineer Haruka Miyagawa.
