Rie Nishida’s comedy manga Tono to Inu (Lord and Dog) has an anime adaptation in the works, and the latest update has it set for an October 2024 premiere. You can see some of the life of an impoverished samurai and his carefree dog at play in the teaser trailer and visual below.

The Tono to Inu manga first launched via Flex Comic’s Comic Polaris manga service in March 2021, and the third collected volume launched in Japan in February 2024.
