The Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin game is about to become an anime, and now we know when it will begin. The adaptation is lined up for a July 6, 2024 premiere, and a new trailer arrived along with info on the theme song artists that will open and close each episode.

The opening theme will be Ikimono-gakari’s “Seisei!” and the ending theme will be Little Glee Monster’s “Origami.” Check out the trailer below.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is being directed by Masayuki Yoshihara (The Eccentric Family), with Jukki Hanada overseeing scripts for the P.A. Works production.

The original game is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Here’s how publisher XSEED Games describes it:

Players take on the role of Sakuna, a proud yet lonely harvest goddess who is banished to a dangerous island with a group of outcast humans. Sakuna tames the island by defeating demons using farm tools as weapons while chaining attacks with her “celestial scarf,” a magical item that allows her to grapple distant enemies and platforms.
