Yukihiko Tsutsumi may have always been the man behind the
Trick films—based on the TV Asahi drama that's loaded with both humor, intrigue and spiritual shenanigans—but recently it's been all about his live-action adaptations of Naoki Urasawa's
20th Century Boys.
Fans of Trick, however, are in for a treat once more as the teaser for Tsutsumi's latest, Trick: Reinosha Battle Royale (Gekijoban Trick: Reinouryokusha Battle Royale), has recently surfaced. This one takes place in a village that's holding a "spritual medium battle royale" in an effort to replace their former leader, Kamihaeru.
Yukie Nakama and Hiroshi Abe return as Yamada and Ueda respectively, with Yamada former attempting to join in and earn some cash while Ueda tries to put a stop to it all.

Toho is releasing the third film in the Trick series in Japan on May 8, 2010.
